Want to hear what Jason Bonham's drumming should sound like? Listen to this album.Jerry Fuchs is the successor of John Bonham's throne, and they are both gone now. Pummeling bass drum rhythms, raw power suffused with impeccable technique and pure passion. Not since Bonham has there been such a tasteful player, and it'll be a while in finding another to even compare to these chaps. The music, tell us about the music!Turing Machine is math rock for people who like heavy metal. The album starts with pummeling rhythms, a punchy, trebly bass sound and a trebly guitar. Songs range from 3 to 12 minutes, some have many, many parts. At times dancey as well as shoegazey. This band is hard to define or compare to others. This is their first album. Maserati led me here as it did to many other bands. The thing I really like about Turing Machine is the raw power and heaviness they have compared to other "math rock" bands. These guys are full blown. It's a Harley revving up to go get revenge. The school band revolted got drunk, revolted and played Led Zeppelin at the homecoming football game. Your driving your car and the highway become hyperspace. You have to know how fast it can go, how long you can stay in control.
