The Trusti Tuber starter kit, made by Antahi in New Zealand, consists of a mouthpiece that sits comfortably against the calf's snout, through which a soft flexible tube is passed. Using calf size markers and a stopper, the length of the tube can be changed for optimal placement. The mouthpiece and tube are easily held in the calf's mouth with one hand. With the other hand, the ergonomic 4 liter milk bottle can be held up to allow the colostrum or electrolytes to flow into the tube and safely into the calf's stomach. Easy to hold in place with one hand, it saves time and effort and can be used for calves up to 200kg. 1) Position the mouthpiece so that the round protective ring sits comfortably against the calf's nose. Hold both the mouthpiece and chin with one hand to easily guide the tube. 2) Slide the flexible probe through the mouthpiece so that it is inserted securely into the esophagus. 3) Raise the bottle to start the liquid flowing. Make sure that the calf's head and neck remain above the stomach. Be sure that the tube does not come out of the esophagus when fluid is introduced.
