Using the AccuMast® Mastitis Self Test
AccuMast® can be used at any stage of the lactation cycle. It is recommended to perform the test before the cow enters the dry period Any treatment will then be during the dry period possible. This contributes at for a healthy start in the next lactation phase.
Step-by-step instruction
- Take a milk sample from the suspected quarter.
- Apply the sample to the AccuMast® test scale.
- Place the dish in the incubator for 12-16 hours.
- Read the results using the color control chart.
- Decide (in consultation with the veterinarian) whether and what treatment is necessary.
